Sitting in Chicago traffic is never a ‘Rainbows & Lollipops’ experience. In my blog efforts to bring beauty and balance to your lives, today I’m giving you a few tips on how to cope when stuck on the Stevenson for you’re exhausted on the Eisenhower.
Give yourself enough time to get to your destination. If driving, add in a 30 minute cushion. If train, 15 extra minutes is ok. Most of the time.
If you have a lovely tailgater on your tail, turn on your hazards until they go around. This beats tapping the brakes and risking a bump.
Get enough sleep
each night. It really matters.
Pick out a great audio book. Soaking in new work tips or listening to a new novel will take your mind off of the traffic jam. Two birds - One stone .
Keep a few healthy snacks in the car. Nothing is worse than being hungry and not having a snack fix when you need. Most likely the car honking at you hasn’t eaten in hours.
I hope these tips help your next commute and lead to you having a beautiful day.
