FAQ:
How does airbrush tan work?
The active ingredient in airbrush tanning is DHA (dihydroxyacetone). DHA is simple sugar derived from sugar beets or sugar cane. DHA reacts with proteins in the outer layer of the skin. During this reaction, a browning process occurs that leaves the skin looking very similar to a natural tan.
How long does it take and who applies it?
The process takes about 20 minutes and is applied by a trained technician.
How long will my airbrush tan last?
An airbrush will last approximately seven to 10 days. It will depend on your skin type and how you care for it after tanning session.
Will my airbrush protect me from the sun?
No, airbrush tanning solutions do not have sunscreen protection — additional sunscreen should be used.
If pregnant can I still receive an airbrush tan?
Organic airbrush tanning is perfect if you want to add to your natural pregnant glow! There's no evidence that DHA is harmful — and it is considered safe for pregnant women. To err on the side of safety, it is suggested that expecting mothers wait until after the first trimester to have a session and should consult their physician.
